Paul Gardien is a member of the Management Team of Philips Design and an alumnus of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

He has been working for Philips Design since 1988 in a number of functions ranging from product design, user interface design to multi-media and internet design. Currently, he is responsible for the Strategy process of Philips Design.

Next to this he is responsible for the Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) portfolio, consisting of the Design Research program, the development of New Business for Philips Design and the development of the Design Service Portfolio. Paul regularly talks at conferences and symposia, is member of several boards and has published research papers.
