Kristina Höök is Professor in Human-Machine Interaction at Stockholm University since 2003, and part-time employment at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS), where she founded the Mobile Life centre.

Kristina has worked with a range of design concepts that may come in useful in some interaction design situations - not all - but some. They include e.g. social navigation, seamfullness, affective loops, and designing for appropriation through open but still familiar surfaces.

These "interaction concepts" all belong to the same theoretical foundation: that of embodied interaction. But instead of being grand theories of life, universe and everything, these concepts carry the grand theory into usable design concepts that anyone can pick up and make use of in their design practice.
